At Space Dog Coffee, we believe great coffee starts with freshness. That is why our coffee is roasted in frequent small batches and prepared for each order instead of sitting pre-roasted in warehouse inventory.

Our roasting and fulfillment schedule is guided by customer demand. This allows our roasting partners to prioritize freshness, quality, and responsiveness when preparing your order.

This Shipping Policy explains our order processing times, estimated delivery times, tracking process, international shipping terms, and other information you should know before placing an order.

Freshly Roasted to Order

Space Dog Coffee does not rely on large quantities of pre-roasted coffee sitting in storage. Our roasting partners roast in frequent small batches based on customer demand so your coffee can be prepared as fresh as possible.

Orders are often packed and shipped on the same day they are roasted. However, the full roasting and preparation process may take several business days depending on order volume and the roasting schedule.

Coffee is prepared in frequent small batches to reduce storage time and help preserve flavor, aroma, and character.

Our roasting schedule is guided by active customer orders rather than long-term warehouse inventory.

Packed After Roasting

Once your coffee has been roasted, it is packed and prepared for shipment as quickly as reasonably possible.

Order Processing and Roasting Time

Please allow approximately 1–5 business days for your coffee order to be roasted, prepared, packed, and transferred to the shipping carrier.

This processing period begins after your order has been successfully placed and payment has been confirmed. Business days generally exclude weekends and recognized holidays.

  • Estimated processing period: 1–5 business days before shipment.

  • High-volume periods: Processing may take toward the longer end of the estimated timeframe during holidays, promotions, or unusually high order volume.

  • Shipping notification: You will receive an email when tracking information becomes available.

United States Shipping

Orders shipped within the United States are generally sent through USPS using an available standard ground shipping service.

Once your order has completed the roasting and processing stage, delivery generally takes an additional 1–5 business days, depending on the destination, carrier transit times, and local delivery conditions.

Processing Before Shipment

Allow 1–5 business days for roasting, packing, and order preparation.

Estimated Transit Time

After shipment, U.S. delivery typically requires an additional 1–5 business days.

Total Estimated Time

Most U.S. orders may take approximately 2–10 business days from order placement to delivery. This is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date.

Tracking Information

Tracking information is provided for shipped orders when it becomes available from the carrier.

Once your order has been packed and a shipping label has been created, Shopify will send an automatic shipping notification to the email address used during checkout.

  • Tracking activity may not appear immediately after the shipping notification is sent.
  • Please allow the carrier time to receive and scan the package before expecting tracking updates.
  • Carrier tracking estimates are provided by the shipping carrier and may change while the package is in transit.
  • Please check your spam or junk folder if you do not see your shipping notification.

International Shipping

International shipping may be available to eligible destinations when an international shipping option is displayed during checkout.

International shipping rates are calculated using available USPS rates based on the destination, package weight, package dimensions, and available service level. The most economical eligible USPS service is generally selected.

USPS First-Class Package International, or a comparable economical international service, may be used when available for the destination and package.

The available shipping charge will be displayed during checkout before the customer completes the purchase.

Delivery Times Vary

International delivery times depend on destination, carrier operations, customs processing, local postal services, and other factors outside our control.

Customs Fees and Import Charges

Customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, or other destination-country fees, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

International Shipping Limitations

International shipments involve additional risks and delays that may be outside the control of Space Dog Coffee, our roasting partners, and the original shipping carrier.

  • International delivery dates are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.
  • Packages may experience delays during customs inspection or local postal processing.
  • Tracking may be limited after a package leaves the United States or is transferred to a destination-country carrier.
  • Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking and responding to customs or local carrier requests.
  • International shipping charges are generally not refundable once the package has been accepted by the carrier.
  • Orders are not eligible for a refund solely because of carrier delays, customs delays, unsuccessful delivery attempts, refusal to pay import charges, or circumstances outside our reasonable control, except where required by applicable law.

By selecting international shipping at checkout, the customer acknowledges the additional delivery risks, possible customs charges, and longer or uncertain transit times associated with international delivery.

Shipping Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for reviewing and confirming that the shipping address entered during checkout is accurate and complete.

Space Dog Coffee is not responsible for delivery delays, returned packages, lost shipments, or additional shipping costs resulting from an incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or undeliverable address provided by the customer.

If you notice an address error, contact us as soon as possible. We will try to help before the order enters production or fulfillment, but address changes cannot be guaranteed after an order has been submitted.

Carrier Delays and Delivery Issues

Delivery estimates are provided for general guidance and are not guaranteed. Weather, holidays, carrier capacity, regional disruptions, customs processing, natural events, and other circumstances outside our control may affect delivery.

If tracking shows that a package is still moving through the carrier network, please allow additional time for delivery. Customers may also contact the carrier directly using the tracking number provided.

If tracking shows a package as delivered but you cannot locate it, please check around the delivery location, ask household members or neighbors, and contact the local carrier office before contacting us.

Order Changes and Cancellations

Because coffee orders may enter roasting and fulfillment shortly after they are submitted, we cannot guarantee that an order can be changed or canceled.

Contact us as soon as possible if you need help with an order. If the order has not entered production or fulfillment, we will make a reasonable effort to assist.

Once an order has been roasted, packed, or transferred to the shipping carrier, changes and cancellations may no longer be possible.

Changes to This Shipping Policy

We may update this Shipping Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our shipping services, roasting or fulfillment process, carrier requirements, business operations, or applicable legal requirements.

Any revised policy will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
